Environmental radiation monitoring system
MA-GMP
MA-GMP is a system allowing radiation level monitoring of PET-Cyclotron facilities, developed paying special attention to GMP structures regulations and requirements.
It is a modular and flexible system which permits operators to have a real time and continuous control of the whole facility, by means of a clear and immediate visualization of all potentially dangerous events (overcoming of radioactivity thresholds).
Monitoring is performed through the use of detection units and data are collected by one Concentrator PC (MA-CON) through a serial connection. Detection units are devices composed by a radioactivity probe (Geiger-Muller MA-GM, neutron probe MA-NH) and by a control and counting electronics; measurements results are displayed on a local LCD and shared with the Concentrator Unit by means of serial output. Also Hot Cell Monitors are fully compatible with MA-GMP system, to allow the complete facility control and Hot Cell Monitors data storage.
The system also provides the task to detect activity concentration in air.
